Export revenue of Russian software firms may fall 10–15% in 2022
MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) – The total 2022 foreign sales of Russian software companies will hardly exceed the 2021 result of U.S. $10 billion, while their export revenue may decrease by 10–15% in the U.S. dollar terms, association of software producers Russoft said in a research posed on Monday on Telegram by its head Valentin Makarov.
“Sales of all national software companies on the internal market will rise by at least 15–20% in the ruble terms. In such a way, the total turnover of the industry’s companies should not fall dramatically regardless of significant staff losses from departures of specialists abroad, maximum up to 15,000–20,000 people,” the statement read.
According to Russoft, the country’s software developers earned more than 1.5 trillion rubles in 2021, up 19%. The rise of sales on the internal and external markets was equal.
